Curious about double knitting and brioche? This very versatile 4 in 1 reversible hat starts with an Italian cast-on, followed by a double knitted band, then a brioche body followed by a decrease brioche crown. The techniques used are a very good introduction to both double knitting and brioche.
Class dates: Saturdays, March 29th, April 5th & 19th
Time: 10:00 a.m. – noon
Class 1: Italian cast-on and start double knitting brim
Class 2: double knitted brim and Brioche body
Class 3: Brioche crown and finishing
Materials needed: two very contrasting DK weight yarns (125 yds each)
Size US#5/3.75 mm needles (your choice of long circular for magic loop, two circulars, short circular, double pointed needles, flexiflips, or whatever you use for hats), tapestry needle, scissors & stitch marker.
Optional: Size #4/3.5 mm long straight needles for casting on only & tape measure
