Great Horned Owl Snuggle Baby Doll

The Great Horned Owl, an iconic bird of the old growth forests, is transformed into a soft companion for a child by the talented knit designer Chris de Longpre. Using our chunky weight U.S. Organic Cotton and some knitting tricks--primarily the Magic Loop method of knitting in the round, our kit contains enough yarn to knit twin owls!

Included in the kits is a small notecard, envelope and bird's nest sticker to use for gifting the owls!

Kit contains 115 yd/105m bulky weight U.S. Organic Cotton and 6 yds/5.5 m 3/2 gold cotton (for eyes) packaged in an organza gift bag with the pattern. hare

Gauge is 24 sts/18 rows=4". A US 8/5.0 mm 32" circular needles and set of 4 DPNs are required.

Snuggle Baby Doll, for the very young. The doll pattern was created by the incomparable stuffed knit toy designer, Chris de Longpre. We heard this type of doll is called a “church doll” because it can be dropped without disturbing the congregation!

The kit includes the pattern, a cake of natural U.S. Organic Cotton (194 yd./3 ounces/177 m), embroidery yarn and Eco-fiber fill. Everything you need to complete the project!

Advanced knitting skills required.

This stuffed toy can be made with a set of 4 or 5 double-point needles, or with two 24" circular needles, or with one 40" circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. (Resources listed in pattern)
