Can't make it into the shop for a class? Have a compromised immune system and need to be at home? We've got you covered! This class is being offered online over Zoom. Now you can learn something new from the comfort of your own home.
Have you always wanted to learn Brioche but the thought of it scares you? Don't be afraid... you CAN do it! This class will teach you all the basics of brioche stitch and you won't believe that you never tried it before. Brioche gives you a reversible fabric that is soft and squishy, you will love it! We will be making a 2-color scarf.
Skill Level: Adventurous beginner ~ ability to knit, purl and complete a long tail cast-on.
Date: Saturday 10/24 10:00-12:00 (Zoom meeting code will be sent via email)
Materials needed: pattern Sauge Scarf (on Ravelry), yarn, and needles.
This scarf calls for one skein each of two different colors in fingering weight, but sport weight can easily be substituted for those wanting a squishier scarf- or one that knits up a smidge faster.
Also, you may want to bring several sizes of 24" circular needles to see which brioche gauge you prefer on your chosen yarn. Jensen recommends sizes 4-5 for fingering weight, 5-6 for sport, and 6-7 for DK.
